Welcome to Association of Food Scientists and Technologists (India), Pune Chapter

AFST (I) PUNE CHAPTER
Pune Chapter of AFST (I) was established in year 1982 in MACS Research Institute, Pune and was Shifted in year 1991 at M. S. Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Pune. The Chapter has being revived in September, 2009 at P.G. Dept of Food Science and Nutrition, S.N.D.T College of Home Science, Pune. Chapter work in close association with the Headquarters to uphold the principles, policies and objectives as laid down in the Constitution.
Objectives:

• To stimulate research, development and training in the science and technology of food.


• To promote among its members, a high standard of technical proficiency, professional expertise and personal integrity so as to elevate in turn the profession of food science and technology.


• To collaborate with other organizations, research institute and food industries.

   The ultimate objective is to serve the humanity through better food.

Membership: Membership is open to graduates and diploma holders in Food Science, Technology and Engineering and to those engaged in the profession. As per the option exercised, each member will receive a copy of the Indian Food Industry (IFI).
